i came accross your website by accident and it stopped me right in my tracks.for 25yrs i ownwed greyhounds and a few lurchers and for 25yrs racing was a passion for me.all that time i never once considered keeping any of my dogs into retirement because no one ever did at that time.i suppose i was lucky as it was always good class racing dogs i kept and it was always easy to sell them on so they never became my responsibility when thay finished racing.my dogs were always well fed,kept warm and i spent a fortune on vet bills but now i feel very guilty when i see the work that yourselves and the other rescue centres do on behalf of the greyhound.after xmas when all the festivities are over i intend to give something back to these beautiful and courageous dogs,at this moment i do not know what, but as i am retired i have a lot of time on my hands so it should not be a major problem.
