Hi, I’m Emma, been involved in GAL for around 6 yrs but I’ve just joined the new forum + thought I’d say hi.
I have Robbie, a very troubled Lurcher, who has benefitted from all the help we have been given over the years from GAL + is slowly becoming a reformed character - we’ve been working on him for 6 yrs.
Then we have KT, our gorgeous GAL girl we’ve had for 4 yrs.
We also have an un-named Chihuahua.
So hello everybody!

We have called the Chihuahua Pisces, cause she has a fish shaped marking on her head (plus its my star sign :D)

I know, you wouldn’t think it was possible to let them in thhe same room but my dogs are fine with smaller dogs, and Robbie feels less threatened! Its very strange. .
Robbie came to us a bag of problems - he has bitten several people including me, hates feet, is terrified of people, + to make it worse he was attacked by another dog 6 yrs ago + went crazy at other dogs through fear for ages. After a lot of hard work, He is now able to be off lead + walk with other dogs, live with dogs, hasnt bitten or snapped in a long long time, + now only cowers when people try to pet him, no snapping! He has transformed into a magnificent natured dog :D
Robbie is the tan + white, KT is the orange brindle + white.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Hi Emma,

Welcome to the forum.
We remember Robbie and KT from the GAL walks at Strathie park.
It’s great to hear about them again and your new small addition grin
So glad to hear Robbie is doing so well.  Your patience and work has paid off.

Thanks :D
yes, its exhausting but worth it in the end!
The walks help a lot, the amount of dogs he gets to meet are great + he’s always on his best behaviour there - now if only he was that good all the time . . smile

surprised Yes why is it our groos behave impeccably in front of others yet can be complete brats at home?
That’s why we love them!
