Our new temporary lodger is gumsy Jed. Poor wee thing had to get most of his teeth taken out and neutered at the same time so we could take him home on Tuesday - thanks to Janette for driving him to the vets in the morning in that awful traffic so we could get him.

He is such a lovely boy. Had a few accidents the first night we had him but nothing since. He loves getting his ears and neck scratched and he HAS to talk to every single person that passes him. He had three schoolkids rubbing his neck for about 10 minutes outside Morrisons yesterday while we waited for Ian. He is a very steady big guy. He is excited by dogs but not in a keen way. I think he just wants to play with them. Unfortunately most owners are put off by the whimpering at their teeny dogs by a huge dog wearing a muzzle. :( But he is fine with my mum and my sister’s spaniels.

He has had no problem eating at all which really surprised me considering his mouth is full of stitches. He is on meat for a couple of weeks until his stitches come out but he has had rodeos and dentasticks (not that they will do much for him now!) with no problems at all. He seems to be fine alone - although he is usually with Meg and he sleeps in the crate with the door open. It must give him some sort of security I guess.

He is a lovely, sweet, cuddly boy and anyone will be lucky to get him.

Poor old Jed, he had the worst teeth we have seen but at least they are out now and he will adapt in no time - and his breath will improve!!
Glad he is settling in.

I can sympathise about the teeth!

Well done to Laura and Ian for giving this lovely boy the home he so deserves and desperately needed.  He could not have a finer start to his home life.

Thanks also to Janette for transporting him to the vet.
