I’ve been fostering Paige for almost 2 weeks now and she’s come on a bundle in that time.  She’s a very pretty girl and is friendly towards everyone she meets.  She is very cuddly with the softest shiniest coat(then again I only have poor Clyde’s to compare with!!lol).  When she first arrived she pulled on the lead and jumped and twirled when she saw other dogs, now she just looks over at them and gives a small whimper but has learnt quickly that any other behaviour isn’t acceptable, I can now walk with her on a loose(ish) lead and she stays by my side.  She still has the odd accident in the house but is gradually learning that peeing outside = a biscuit, she’s so funny after she’s peed outside as she comes running back in for her biscuit at full pelt and it’s funny watching her try to put the brakes on when she’s on the laminate floor (Bambi on ice!!).  She’s a bundle of fun and hopefully it won’t be long before she gets her much deserved forever home.

LOL, I have a boy who does exactly the same thing especially when its wet and skids all over the kitchen tiles.
Sounds like Paige is doing very well, how is Clyde taking it??

Paige is quite a pushy wee girl and Clyde doesn’t have a dominant bone in his body, he wasn’t himself the first couple of days but I made sure he got loads of cuddles, fed him first etc and he was quickly back to his normal happy self although when I’m giving him cuddles I can feel Paige’s nose trying to shove her way in.  I think his calmness out walking is rubbing off as there is such a difference from the Paige who first arrived.

I had seen you when you were out walking them both and gave you a wee toot but I’ve got a new car and i didn’t think you knew it was me.
thats great clyde has been so accepting of her. Is lauren loving having 2 hounds in the house?

Glad to hear that Paige is settling in well.

It is such a rewarding thing to do and great to see a nervous or shy dog come out of its shell.

Although I don`t think Paige could ever have been called shy!

Lauren is loving having the 2 hounds around and Paige is brilliant with her, she’s as happy to flop down with Lauren for a cuddle as she is with me.  Lauren’s been well warned that Paige is just a foster dog though and she seems to have accepted that although I imagine there will be tears when Paige goes to her forever home.  Lauren’s been a great help getting them both ready for their walks, getting Paige’s I N A H coat on and muzzles on them both.

And no Joyce, Paige could never be described as shy, she likes to be the centre of attention!! lol

There’s nothing wrong with crying when your foster dog goes! Haha. I’m so glad you have taken Paige in. Clyde will be so good for her, so will Lauren. Can’t wait to see how she’s come on.

I’m sure I’ll shed a tear too!!
