Lana has been with us for five weeks so far and she has been a joy to have. Her confidence has soared in this time. She will stand for ages and let us stroke her, and when we stop she nudges our arms as if to say “why are you stopping?” She is a loving companion. When she sees the peanut butter jar coming out she goes mad! She will be missed when she leaves our family, as she has settled in very well. Lana loves doggy company and will settle in well with her new sister. The house will feel so empty when she has gone.

We will do our very best to build on your excellent work.  Need to add peanut butter to the shopping list lol

She sounds like a lovely dog.

I am so glad that she is going to a good home very soon.

You will miss her Joan, but remember there are always other dogs needing that TLC they all so deserve.

Lana sounds like a beautiful girl. She is so lucky to have found such a loving, caring foster family and a wonderful, excited forever home. It’s always difficult giving up a foster dog but I think it’s a testament to the dog how upset you get. I’ve missed all mine! Well done for all your hard work with Lana.

I am sad Lana is leaving you but very, very happy about her new home.
My boy is similar in the affection stake, he will constantly nudge you for more pets.
Peanut butter is banned in my house ever since I gave Nell and Byron a piece of toast with it on each and then Nell and I stared at Byron for nearly five full minutes as he had hysterics because it stuck to the roof of his mouth.
He squealed and yelped for what seemed like forever as Nell and I looked at each other both knowing neither of us were brave enough to try and dislodge it from his mouth.
Eventually it came free and he munched it up but no more!!
Lana is obviously much smarter than Byron though and I am sure she will do very well in her new home.

Marie, you always make me laugh the way you talk about your pooches.  When are you going to start that book with all the great stories of Mason, Byron and Nell??

Lana came to my house for a coat fitting straight after leaving her old home.  The pics on the website of her were taken while she was here.  She’s a stunningly beautiful girl and was so friendly and affectionate even though she must have been wondering what on earth was going on!!

She’s arrived home in Montrose and settling in.  Many thanks for everyone’s help, thanks to Joan and Innes for bringing her on to this stage in her life and for the coffee and also to Martin and Melissa for the handover.  We promise regular updates of the quiet lady.

Montrose is a lovely place - was born there many,many years ago!!!

Will she get on the beach to play?  Hope she can understand the east coast accent ok? lol
