Although we haven’t added to the forum before we thought we would let any of the older members know that Bud passed away this morning. He would have been 15 in October.
We still have Keera who we adopted first in 2004 then along came the old boy looking for a foster family. We had no intention of having 2 greyhounds however we couldn’t let him go. Latterly old age just crept up really quickly and a visit to the vet on Wednesday resulted in saying goodbye this morning.
Some of you may remember him as he was in the kennels in Landbank and he was brought along for the Strathclyde Park walks.
So sorry to hear veteran Bud has passed. He had a good retirement and I hope you take comfort in knowing you gave him the best years of his life.

Denise - he was a foster boy, an old lady had him and couldn’t walk him anymore so he came back to GAL, and you thought he would be a good match with Keera. Spot on!
Thanks for all your comments, I know many have been through the same thing and know we are not alone in how we are feeling.xx
Hi haven’t been on here for a very, very long time. Remember Bud from Langbank…he was such a lovely boy, and good to know he had loads of love and comfort in his later years.
Thinking of you at this sad time.
Shirley
We remember Bud and if I remember right he liked a bark at most of the other dogs at the walks! We are sorry to hear that he’s gone. I can only say he was so lucky to have you both give him his forever home.
