I`ve joined yesterday and thought I say hello. Not sure if this is the right place to post.

I`m Nicole but most people call me Nicky. Not got a Greyhound at the moment,hoping the perfect one comes along soon.

At the moment I`m living with my hubby, 2 children ( 11& 13),1 dog, 2 cats ,2 Guinea Pigs and 2 Ferrets.

Looking forward to get to know everyone.

Hi Nicky, welcome to the forum. Hope you’ve sent an adoption application in so that perfect greyhound can be found to add to your family
Contrary to popular belief there are greyhounds out there that will live very happily with cats and other small animals. My household for example consists of my 2 yr old son, my hound, 2 budgies, a parrot and a goldfish. We did have hamsters too when we first got our greyhound and she ran away from them lol. Hope to hear some stories of your current pooch, and maybe see you at some GAL events (check out the calendar on the webpage).

Just to let you know that my greyhound Willow and lurcher Shadow are living quite happily with two ancient cats - George who is 16 and Fluffy who is 15.
Please get you adoption form in - your ideal hound is probably just waiting to join your family.

Please come along to as many GAL events as you can and bring along your gorgeous dog.

Hi Nicky, we are fairly new to GAL too and are in the process of adopting a lovely boy from Gal to be a forever friend for our lurcher Skye. Everyone at gal are very friendly and welcoming, the monthly walks are a good place to get to know people and the fayres are an excellent way to view the homeless hounds…..look at the events calendar for all the dates! We went to our first fayre in the spring and our gorgeous girl won best in show!

Wow,you sounds just as mad about animals as me. Sounds very promising that your dog gets on with all your other animals.
