I found the attached photograph in the “Greyhound Grapevine” Quarterly Newsletter of Perry Barr Retired Greyhound Trust.

As one who has lost several DVDs and 2 rare Burns books to Lulu and Douglas, it certainly made me laugh.

hehe!! what a great pic…luckily we keep our DVDs on the higher shelves, but we had to move our records though to another room after a waggy tail dented a mint condition Zappa LP…! (allan was most unimpressed)

all collectors items now firmly out of tail paths LOL

Ha Ha!  that fairly made me laugh.  Talk about deja vu - I’d only had Willow a couple of months when I went to see what was keeping her so quiet under the table.  She was chewing away on my newly delivered copy of “Don’t Shoot the Dog” by Karen Pryor - The New Art of Teaching and Training !

Book survived looking a bit tooth-marked and ‘dog-eared’ - forgive the pun.  Haven’t got round to putting it’s contents into practice yet though.  Was hoping she had ‘digested’ the salient points for herself!!!!

OMG what a funny picture. Will make sure I keep everything valuable out of reach when we get our first Greyhound.

First rule of greyhounds - if its left where they can get it its not stealing!
And if they don’t like it, it will be destroyed.
I have always found looking at your home and thinking what would a toddler get into is the best way to greyhound proof it.

Thats exactly what I`m gonna do Marie, just think back to the days when my children where little.

Although remember, a greyhound can jump and reach higher things than a toddler smile

Our two seem to have a rule that if they can reach it on all fours, then it’s fair game!  They’ve not counter surfed, yet.
I loved the photo!  Excellent find.

My Cosmo has chewed four remote controls recently (we have FINALLY learned to properly hide them), had a wee gnaw at a chair leg and chewed one of the small cushions off my couch! She has also removed a wee bit of wallpaper!!! I’ve never had any bother with my other two other than the odd stuffie getting destroyed. I’m guessing it’s probably because my other two were four and five when I got them, but Cosmo’s just two and still a but puppyish. I’m hoping she’ll grow out of it. We have plenty of hardcore chew toys at home, and she’s well exercised. Although we work she’s always allowed out at lunchtime and has her 2 greyhound pals to play with! Here’s hoping she grows out of it. Soon! Hehe! : )
