Ah well, our wee Lana is leaking again.  long face

After being only on Propalin Syrup, which seemed to work for a while, the wetting problem got slightly worse so was also taking Incurin. Over the last 7-10 days it was a case in the evenings even after a walk we had to let her out every 1 - 1 1/2 hrs for “relief”. Eric was staying up till around 11-11.30 to minimise the risk of a wet bed - to no avail.  (her bed is not saturated but just a small patch.)

Was off on holiday last week so letting her out frequently throughout the day.  Somehow, and we don’t know how, Lana managed to get cut just below her right eye - so off to the vet. (Eric at work,  I trooped along).  Was superficial so no treatment grin - I was more worried about a risk of infection as no idea what caused the cut.  Mentioned the water problem and that she was drinking more, but we put it down to the warmer weather.  She has also lost about a kilo.  downer  Upshot is that a urine sample was taken and tested.  There is no infection but vet wants a blood sample to check the kidney function. 5pm tonight we are at the vet. Fingers crossed it’s something that can be controlled with medication only.

Will keep you updated.

Thanks.  I’ve got everything crossed, I want her to be a happy bunny in her old age.  The sample was taken at 5pm and the vet said she’d phone me tonight if there was anything seriously wrong - no phone call so all must be fairly well.  We’ll get a call in the morning with the results.

Eric.

Hello Everyone

Thanks for the messages of support.

YIPPEE!  Got a call this morning to say that everything they tested for came back normal (kidneys, liver etc).  The wee madam had a dry night too! LOL and confused

The vet now wants us to monitor the amount of water Lana drinks in a 24 hr period.  Eric is guessing about 3 litres , based on the amount of bottled water we buy (yep, they are that spoilt). So we’ll have a go at that, only thing is we won’t know how much she drinks when we are at work.  ( Penny & Lana normally share a drinking bowl too).

The story continues….... hmmm

Great news - so delighted that it is nothing serious.  Good luck with trying to figure out just how much water she is drinking when you aren’t there - don’t think it will be easy! smirk
Take care.

Glad that the tests came back clear!
Fingers crossed that it gets resolved quickly for Lana.
Good luck with working out who’s drinking what!  A set of scales & a webcam, perhaps wink
Hope you get some resolution soon

Definitely works out around 3 litres a day for Lana.

Penny is getting in on the act, pulled something on the couch last night and after a trip to the vet tonight she’s on Metacalm for a few days.
