Our new boy Tommy celebrated his 5th birthday yesterday. What a day he had. We decided to take him to choose his own presents so headed off, along with his sister Isla, to Pets at Home. This was Tommy’s first visit so he had no idea where he was going, not so Isla. His excitement started the minute the automatic door slid open. I have never seen him so excited. He charged round the store sniffing everything with glee until he took us to the rabbit pen. Well he froze and just stared and stared at them. We couldn’t move him, think he had chosen his number 1 gift! After a great deal of persuation we managed to direct him to the toy section where he took a long time choosing a squeeky, soft, sausage dog which now has only one ear! He also selected a red house collar and some treats so he was one happy hound. He was in a bit of a strop at not getting his rabbit but you can’t have everything! He also had a birthday cake which he and Isla enjoyed a very tiny slice of but us humans really enjoyed that part of his birhtday. He had his favourite sardine dinner and a play in the garden and went to bed a tired but happy hound. Helena & Bill

Happy birthday Tommy! He really is one of the happiest dogs i have ever seen. Reminds me a lot of how Tag was. Meg loves pets at home. She is also determined that one day I will give in and let her “adopt” a rabbit!

Happy Birthday Tommy!!

Sounds like he had the birthday to remember LOL

Pepper and Meikka would love the idea of a rabbit ‘friend’ too. Little

do they know, they have a massive Bunny Rabbit named Todd who lives in

the spare bedroom….....Shhhhhhh Keep it a secret wink
