Georgie came to stay yesterday, he is a very pretty boy who turned three last month.
He has settled in very well, as soon as he arrived his eyes lit up at the toys strewn in the livingroom and wonky donkey was getting hurled around until Donnie stomped down from upstairs and took it off him.
Don Don did the trip several times until all his toys were safely upstairs while Georgie seemed baffled by how he could suddenly disappear up the strange step thingys rolleyes
Of course by tea-time Georgie had mastered the stairs so no hiding place now!
He is a very confident boy and there had been concerns about his excitability around other dogs but this morning we met Newfoundland Rocco, Border Collie Skye and a Heinz Fern and once he had said hello he was fine, he is not aggressive just in your face friendly - you’ll see what I mean at the show.
Kind of like Byron once he got over the issues, and equally daft.
The only issue we have is that he is a silent bully over food.
The days of free-feeding are gone as Georgie thinks both food bowls are his and actually stops Donnie going to eat from either of them outwith regulated meal times.
There is no growling or aggression he just puts himself in the way and Donnie, who has never been food aggressive gives up.
He is clearly top dog so I am keeping a careful eye, Donnie is no leader but even he has only so much patience, particularly where toys are concerned.
He is downstairs more though, yay, and happier on his walks with Mr Confident striding out.
We actually stood in the park talking to people for 15 minutes this morning, something Donnie would freak out at on his own.
Pix will follow as soon as I get my camera…Rosie!...working or my good phone…Donnie!...back in one piece, lol

good news you got a new dog to stay marie…sounds like he wont be letting donnie take the toys for long.  glad to hear you are getting donnies company downstairs again, that’l save you creating a sitting room upstairs. georgie sounds nice. look forward to meeting him.  Iv had to give up on free feeding now as well or angel would eat the lot. angel and rosie both get bran flakes for breakfast followed by a dental chew, then they get assorted doggie treats throughout the day and then they get arden grange with sardines at night. Angel loves that arden grange ive never seen her eat so good.  Took rosie to meet my grandaughter today she was good with her…she let jasmine stroke her etc. and didnt seem fazed by her. good luck with georgie and donnie x

Georgie has been trying to get his head around me getting in a tub full of water with bubbles and lying down. He spends a great deal of time walking into the bathroom, sticking his nose in the water and backing out again.
Tonight I was washing my hair, reached over to grab the towel and instead grabbed a surprised hound.
Georgie decided to curl up beside the tub on the towel.
It took a bit of persuading to get him off the towel so I could get out but I’ll tell you a warm greyhound, better than a heated towel rail grin
