Georgie came to stay yesterday, he is a very pretty boy who turned three last month.
He has settled in very well, as soon as he arrived his eyes lit up at the toys strewn in the livingroom and wonky donkey was getting hurled around until Donnie stomped down from upstairs and took it off him.
Don Don did the trip several times until all his toys were safely upstairs while Georgie seemed baffled by how he could suddenly disappear up the strange step thingys
Of course by tea-time Georgie had mastered the stairs so no hiding place now!
He is a very confident boy and there had been concerns about his excitability around other dogs but this morning we met Newfoundland Rocco, Border Collie Skye and a Heinz Fern and once he had said hello he was fine, he is not aggressive just in your face friendly - you’ll see what I mean at the show.
Kind of like Byron once he got over the issues, and equally daft.
The only issue we have is that he is a silent bully over food.
The days of free-feeding are gone as Georgie thinks both food bowls are his and actually stops Donnie going to eat from either of them outwith regulated meal times.
There is no growling or aggression he just puts himself in the way and Donnie, who has never been food aggressive gives up.
He is clearly top dog so I am keeping a careful eye, Donnie is no leader but even he has only so much patience, particularly where toys are concerned.
He is downstairs more though, yay, and happier on his walks with Mr Confident striding out.
We actually stood in the park talking to people for 15 minutes this morning, something Donnie would freak out at on his own.
Pix will follow as soon as I get my camera…Rosie!...working or my good phone…Donnie!...back in one piece, lol
