It certainly was an amazing turn out.

GAL has a fantastic committee and we all work so well together.

The set up was a smooth operation, with everyone just doing their bit and getting on with it.

No Prima Donna’s, just team work.

And what a result!!

I’m knackered today, as I’m sure are a lot of others, but oh so worthwhile.

When Lucy won Best In Show, I thought I would dissolve in tears!!

Keep 28th November free for the Christmas Fayre!

Good photographs Amanda.Rosie is a lovely dog Wouldn’t like to be a judge .What a hard choice having to pick winners when you are surrounded by such brilliant dogs.
As always well done to GAL for all the hard work they put into the show.
Goes without saying cafe was as always excellent.

Had a great time!  grin  Thanks once again to Joyce and her team for a really enjoyable event.

Was wonderful that Lucy got Best in Show after all that she’s been through - what a tribute to the tremendous effort GAL put in to rescue her!

Thank you for William’s placing in the Veteran’s category.  That means a lot to me as my toothless boy raspberry   is 10+ years now…

.......and to cap it all I won a box of chocolates in the raffle!

William so deserved the award, he’s a lovely dog.

Thanks for your kind words Denise.  The GAL committee is an amazing bunch of people, and I’m glad to be part of it.

Forgot to say (how could I!!) that I hope some of the homeless dogs get forever homes as a result of the Gala.  I always find the homeless parade so moving.

When I heard the description of Danny, it really touched my heart.  It was uncanny - this could just as easily have been a description of my big fierce Rory boy.  Took a month of introductions before Rory even got in the door and now he’s 100% perfect with the other 4 dogs, but not outside alas!  I really, really hope there’s a similar happy outcome for Danny boy.

I believe we had 4 re-homings on Sun: my Chance, Rebel, Tilly and Fletcher (who goes to his home on Fri).

Very successful day for the dogs and a sad day for the fosterers.  LOL
