Fletcher went off to his great new family last night without a backwards glance. As usual, we were eagerly awaiting our new foster boy, Charlie, all week from our lovely rescue centre.

However, we received an email earlier in the week from another greyhound charity in an emergency situation needing quite a few dogs moved, following the death of a trainer, or they faced an uncertain future and they didn’t have room for them all. Of course, me and Ian said we’d take one of them.

So… Meet fosters 23 and 24! They both arrived within an hour of each other last night and they are getting on great. Charlie is the black and white boy and Rocky is the brindle (our first brindle foster!). Meg, of course, is completely non-plussed by the new arrivals and has already made it pretty clear she is the boss.

Since Charlie is from our centre, he has settled in straight away without any issues. But we don’t know much about the conditions Rocky was kept in so everything is new and strange to him but he will get there. He just has a sort of vacant expression about him but he is a lovely boy.

We will hopefully get them to Paws in the Park on Saturday if they can cope with the train.

Glad Fletcher is off to his forever home and well done on doubling up on fosters!
I met Charlie at the rescue center - what a sweetie! and Rocky is gorgeous.  I’m hoping to take Treacle to the Paws in the Park (assuming she’ll be ok on the bus/train) so hopefully her and Charlie can have a reunion of sorts smile

Well done Laura and Ian!

Two happy hounds in a foster home.

I’m sure Meg will keep them in their place.

Thank goodness for all you people who take on the fostering of the dogs.
You do an amazing job.

I can’t believe Rocky is your first brindle dog! He and Charlie both look beautiful.

I’m sure Meg will be a positive role model for both of them and help bring Rocky out of his shell in no time.

So glad you and Ian were able to take Rocky as well as Charlie, thanks to GAL’s wonderful fosterers and centre we were able to take 5 dogs from this very sad situation.
Charlie is a favourite of mine, a happy, sweet boy. If only he didn’t have amorous intentions towards Donnie whenever they are together red face
Georgie Porgie is away visiting his sister Paige and if things go well may well be permanently reunited with her.
The house is very quiet!
