It’s just under 6 weeks until Richard Crighton and myself attempt the Loch Ness Marathon. Like Richard, I’ll be running in memory of my beautiful greyhound (although not nearly as fast!) who was saved by GAL.

I’ve lost count of the number of dogs GAL has helped so far this year, but I do know that the majority of dogs that have been rehomed have needed neutered/spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and many have also needed dental work and other routine treatments. On top of that there’s the kennel and food costs!

Knowing I am helping GAL help dogs like Morse (and the dogs i’ve fostered Sun, Mason, Bill, Harris/Rufus and Floyd) will give me a boast as I clock up the 26.2 miles.

If you’d like to sponsor either myself or Richard our Justgiving pages are here:

Congratulations to you both, its a wonderful way to honour Morse and Sasha and make sure many more groos find their way to forever homes and well earned retirements!

Thanks for the donations guys grin they’re helping to keep me motivated. I’m trying to run four times a weeks and have to admit that I do get a case of CBA sometimes. The donations remind me I can’t let the dogs or you guys down.

I’m sure Jenni will be poised with her camera at the end of the race to capture the pain/relief/satisfaction and sweat on my face!
