December Monthly Walk
30 November 2011
The last GAL monthly walk of 2011 takes place at Strathclyde Country Park on Sunday 4th December, meeting at the Bothwellhaugh Pavilion car park at 11am.
If you are considering a greyhound as a pet, then please come along and say hello to some lovely, gentle dogs looking for good homes. Greyhounds are very lazy dogs, requiring two short walks a day. Greyhounds can live with other breeds of dogs quite happily, and some can live alongside cats.
Could all volunteers please direct anyone interested in adopting a GAL dog to either Paul or Elaine, or any other member of the committee, who will be distinctive in their red GAL tabards. The walk is an ideal opportunity for GAL’s homing coordinator to introduce a prospective dog owner to a potential dog prior to the home check.
GAL Christmas Cards and Calendars will also be available on the day, and there’ll also be a Christmas sack for the Homeless Hounds Secret Santa Appeal. If you would like to bring a present (treats, toys, coats, etc) for our dogs that’ll be spending Christmas in kennels, it’ll be very much appreciated!
Look forward to seeing you there.
