Dogs Trust Fun Day
25 July 2010
Strathclyde Park played host to the Dogs Trust Fun Day on Sunday 25th July, with the perfect weather bringing dogs of all shapes and sizes out in vast numbers.
GAL was very fortunate to have been invited along to take part in the event and our volunteers travelled from far and wide with their lovely hounds to meet and greet the public.
Lana and Holly came with Eric and Fiona and Janet brought the gorgeous Robin and Laura had her lovely Cole with her. Lisa brought along Baxter and Rebel went away with his new foster dad. We thank all of the fosterers for bringing their charges to the event as it is so important to socialise the dogs and let the public see just what wonderful dogs greyhounds and lurchers are.
New girl Treacle came to her first GAL event, and took it all in her stride, she really is a wee stunner.
The GAL shop was in attendance and took in an amazing £490! Thanks to Elaine and Lita for “manning” the shop and being so helpful to all the browsers.
GAL would like to say thanks to the Dogs Trust for the invite and would love to be included again next year!
