Drumpellier Day Out
25 July 2009
GAL were invited along to the dog event today at Drumpellier Country Park, and what a great day it turned out to be!
GAL dogs and volunteers were out in their droves. Homeless dogs who put in an appearance were the extremely handsome Jake, the petite Lily, gorgeous Woody, little Lucy and our newby and fast becoming a firm favourite, Clark. Billy was also out to enjoy the sunshine and show off his good looks and very appealing nature. Thanks to all the volunteers who brought a dog along and continuing thanks to all the fosterers who are giving GAL dogs such a great start to life in a home environment. You are all very much appreciated.
As a result of being out and about Woody has been fortunate to secure a permanent home and Lucy will also be moving on to pastures new. We wish both of these lovely dogs the very best of luck.
It was also nice to see so many recently homed dogs coming along to say Hi! Levi, Clyde, Danni and Tag with his friend Harry the wee lurcher. Max and Millie also put in an appearance having been rescued via SPCA. It was lovely to see them looking so well. Little Kai came along with his mum and dad and the lovely Summer. He is well used to all the big dogs as he never misses an event!
Sorry if you’ve been forgotten, but there were so many dogs and so many people it’s difficult to remember them all.
The sum of £119 was taken in merchandise sales and £16.82 in donations, so the day was definitely worth the effort.
Many thanks to Fiona Porter from NLC for GAL’s invite.
