GAL February walk
02 February 2010
The first GAL monthly walk of 2010 takes place on Sunday 7th February. The meeting place will be the car park at Bothwellhaugh Pavilion, Strathclyde Park, Motherwell, as usual the time is 11am.
Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about owning a greyhound and their suitability as family pets.
Greyhounds are gentle and affectionate dogs, who don’t need vast amounts of exercise, being content with a couple of 30 minute walks a day. Some can live happily with cats and small dogs.
If you’re thinking about adopting a greyhound or just wondering what you can do to help the plight of the ex racing greyhound or ex working lurcher, then come along on Sunday 7th February.
Please ensure that you pick up after your dog and also that your dog is muzzled if necessary.
If anyone would like to order any GAL merchandise, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). If you would like to order a winter coat for your dog please check out availability by visiting the following website:

Please note that there are a few calendars left - so if you missed out at Christmas, now is the time to buy this homeless hound packed glossy A3 size calendar for the knock down price of £3! Of course, if you wish to give more, then feel free to do so! Every single penny from the sale of the calendars goes to the dogs GAL cares for.
Elaine will be happy to bring your requests to the GAL walk.
Also if you treated your dog to a new coat for Christmas, we’d be happy to take his or her cast offs for our kennel and foster dogs. Similarly we would be happy to take any towels, blankets or duvets that you may wish to donate to our kennel dogs. Any donation will be put to good use at our FSRC.
We look forward to seeing you on the 7th!
