HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

The Greyhound Awareness League would like to wish all of its supporters and volunteers a very Happy Christmas!
Little 7 week old Dasher is GAL’s lastest arrival, and is a lucky boy to have been rescued by GAL and is already in a loving forever home.
Of course this time of year is always a time of reflection. 2009 has been a very busy year with around 200 greyhounds and lurchers being placed in loving homes over the last 12 months. Dogs whose fate would have been somewhat less certain without the hard work and dedication of GAL’s committee, supporters and volunteers.
Whether you carried out a homecheck for a prospective greyhound owner, held a can at a collection, attended one of GAL’s fund raising events, or made a donation, without you we just could not continue.
Little dogs like Dasher, and of course the full grown greyhounds and lurchers, are unable to say thank you, but if they could, they would!
So thank you from us all!
We look forward to seeing you all in 2010, as we continue to rescue as many dogs as possible and find them loving homes.
