November Walk

This Sunday, 7th November, is the date for the monthly Strathclyde Park walk.
Volunteers from the Greyhound Awareness League will be meeting at 11am in the Bothwellhaugh Pavilion Car Park with their lovely dogs.
If you are interested in adopting a greyhound or a lurcher as a family pet, please come along on Sunday and let our volunteers answer any questions you may have about these lovely, gentle and affectionate dogs.
If you would like to order a coat for your hound or any of the GAL merchandise, please email Elaine at: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and she will endeavour to bring it along to the walk for you. Elaine will also have the 2011 GAL calendar, which is hot off the press! As ever the price is very reasonable at £7, with the price for 2 calendars at an amazing £12! The GAL Christmas cards will also be available to purchase on Sunday.
RAFFLE PRIZE APPEAL
If anyone has any raffle or tombola prize for the Christmas Fayre, which is on 28th November, please bring them along and Joyce or any of the GAL committee will be happy to take your donation. In particular, we would be grateful for boxes of chocolates and bottles of wine or spirits. We’re also on the lookout for books for the book stall at the fayre. So bring any books along that you would like to donate and we will be happy to take them at the walk.
PSYCHIC NIGHT
This ever popular event takes place at The Kings Park Hotel, Rutherglen on Thursday 11th November with tickets priced at £7. The psychic medium for the event is Ricky Martin, who has supported GAL for a long time. If you would like to attend this event, please ask either Joyce or Helena for a ticket on Sunday. Please consider supporting this event, as all the proceeds go directly towards the upkeep of the dogs.
Please remember that this is on-lead walk with dogs muzzled where appropriate. Please also pick up after your dog and keep the park clean.
