New Committee Roles

GAL has a new Convenor, Paul Flanigan, who also doubles as Homing Coordinator. We welcome Paul and wish him every success in his new role in which we fully support him.
Our out-going Convenor, Elaine Mackie, has done a fantastic job of overseeing GAL since the New Year and we thank her wholeheartedly for her commitment and dedication in this very demanding role. Elaine recently ventured into a new line of work which leaves her with less time to deal with the day-today running of GAL, so she has rightly decided to hand over the reigns to Paul. Elaine will remain on the Committee as Merchandise Coordinator and we wish her every success in her new enterprise. Thank you for all your hard work, Elaine.
As Paul was our Vice-Convenor this role has been taken over by Helena Pringle, an experienced and knowledgeable GAL veteran and also our Follow-up Coordinator, and we wish Helena all the best in her new role.
We also give our thanks to Richard Bloodworth for his hard work as Fostering Coordinator. Richard has recently stepped down due to demands at work and we welcome Laura Dixon as our new Fostering Coordinator. Thank you, Richard and welcome aboard, Laura.
As intimated in previous news, Joan Flanigan is our new Secretary and Jenni Wilson and Kate Livingston form the new Advertising and Promotions Team.
With the support of our members, GAL hopes to continue its success in rescuing and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers throughout Scotland with our newly restructured Committee and we thank you for your support.
