Today’s walk
07 February 2010
What a great turn out for the first GAL walk of 2010! It was lovely to see so many greyhounds and lurchers out flying the flag for rescue hounds. With any luck their good behaviour may encourage a few applications to adopt one of GAL’s dogs.
Lana met her future mum and dad and it is hoped that she will go home with them soon. Parker was out and about again, and is gaining confidence with every event. Many thanks to Kate and Laura for bringing him to the park. Harris is also a timid boy who is lucky enough to be in a foster home now, where it is hoped he will come out of his shell with the patience of his foster mum Lea. It was good to see him there as well.
There were so many people to talk to and so many dogs to hug!
Shadow, who was saved from life as a stray by Jackie, attended his first walk with his housemate Petra. Two lucky dogs now in a loving home.
Speedy attended her first GAL walk and was a bit of a celebrity. She is being well cared for and waited on hand and foot by her adoring parents.
Little Dasher decided that he would come along as well and as you can see from the picture, he is just so cute! Lauren would have taken him home if she could have! Although I think his mum would have objected!
In keeping with theme of “first GAL walks”, the gorgeous Christie also attended and turned a few heads with her good looks.
The walk takes place on the first Sunday of every month and will leave from the Bothwellhaugh car park - we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
