Bud

Bud is a 5 year old ex-working lurcher who is has recently had an ill fitting plate in his front leg removed. His stitches have been removed and the vet thinks with time his leg will be completely back to normal.

Bud has been moved around a bit so can be insecure when he first visits a new place. After a few short weeks he has settled very well in his foster home. He loves cuddles and playing with a soft toy or Kong. Bud can be over friendly with other dogs in a home, wanting to play with them, so would be better suited as an only dog or with a laid back doggy friend - although he does like to bark at dogs walking past the garden. He is clean in the house but doesn't like the rain so needs extra encouragement to go out to toilet then.

Bud is very clever and has taken well to clicker training. He also loves playing fetch in a pool during hydrotherapy (this isn't necessary for Bud's leg rehabilitation, he just enjoys it!). Bud is fine on walks with dogs that ignore him but he can be reactive with dogs that stare or bark at him. His fosterer is working on this and he's doing well.

Bud loves his people and will make an excellent new best friend.
