Forever Foster

Phoenix

Phoenix is a fantastic boy who is settled in his experienced foster home and loves to have company. Sadly, he has been diagnosed with an auto-immune condition. This can be helped with medication, but due to the ongoing cost of this, and the need for his health to be monitored, GAL has decided to support Phoenix in staying where he is happiest, with his lovely foster family.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Phoenix is a fun loving and funny dog who has just celebrated his 6th birthday in style with a party, goodies and birthday cake.
He has come a long way during his time in foster and is well on his way to being a confident and happy dog. He is a model dog in the house and the only thing he has ever chewed has been an unattended pepperoni pizza. He has his toy box and when he knows he is due to go a walk he gets so excited he has to throw his favourite toys about before getting his harness on. His 2 minutes of madness before his walk.
He walks well on a lead but can be excitable if rabbits, squirrels or foxes come in to view. He is good with small dogs but is not comfortable around large, hairy dogs. His favourite activities are sunbathing, playing with his toys in the garden and having a peanut butter Kong or chews of any description. Phoenix is patiently waiting for a home to call his own and would happily share your couch in exchange for love, cuddles and the ability to make you smile.
Phoenix shares his foster home with other dogs and gets along well with them. However despite enjoying their company he is much happier having someone in the house with him.  He would love a home where there is a person or people around most of the time as he does suffer from separation anxiety. He isn’t destructive in any way but he barks when left on his own.
